Jane

I'm a novelist. I love being able to say that, although I always put a question mark on the end when I say it out loud, as if I'm not quite sure that it's real. I write psychological thrillers. My first one, "Grievous Angel", is published by Arrow in the UK and by William Morrow in the US. My second, "The Murder Ballad", is published in the UK by William Heinemann. I've just finished my third one, which is due to be published in the UK in March next year. It's called "Can't Let Go". For the last two years I have also been performing around the UK as a stand-up comedian, and did a show this year at the Edinburgh Fringe as part of the Free Festival. Before that, I spent twenty years working in commercial radio. I was a journalist to start with, and later became head of programming for a group of local stations. I still work occasionally in radio and am currently teaching a postgrad course in radio journalism.
