The showbiz life of an author...

Oh, well done! Sounds like you're getting plenty of promotion, I hope it weaves it's magic and makes you lots of money! Do you enjoy doing book signings and such? (you can tell me if it's a bind, I'll never tell a soul ;) )
You look great at the book signing. There's a visible glow to your countenance. How exciting it all must be! Or is it? I admit I was also wondering if those signings are fun, or just necessary work as part of the process.

Well look at you, Ms. Fancy-Pants Author! Great pictures, and the signing looks like great fun. Wish I could've seen it in person!
Exciting! You do look like you're having fun, which either means you are, or you're getting this down well enough to be able to make people think you are quite easily! Good show either way. =)
Awww. Thanks, guys. The truth is, I love doing these things. An audience who've come to see me, a microphone, a bookshop: what's not to like? The travel can be a bit of a pain, though. Lincoln is one of the most difficult towns in the entire country to get to without a car.

Re: second picture: you own Waterstone's.

And I want to own that green jacket.

Thank you! I bought the jacket in a sale for a ridiculously small amount of money about ten years ago, and brought it out of the wardrobe at a point when no one else would remember that it was ever for sale in a high street chain...

Congrats Jane, well done!

Fancy jacket out of mothballs?

Nice touch.
